Our staff consists of highly qualified specialists in reproductive medicine, embryology and nursing who guide you through the whole process with care and expertise. We use proven, effective treatment methods and continuously keep up with the latest research and most innovative technologies in fertility care.
To ensure the best possible outcomes, we have invested in a state-of-the-art laboratory equipped with the latest technology. Here, our embryologists use advanced techniques to create optimal conditions for fertilisation, embryo development and implantation.

International quality standard
We work according to internationally recognised and well-proven ISO standards. Since 2024, Gothenburg IVF Clinic has been certified to ISO 9001:2015—confirming our commitment to continually improve and ensure high quality in every part of the organisation.
Laboratory
We have built Sweden’s most modern IVF laboratory. The lab has been approved by an independent testing and measurement company (VitaVeritas) with excellent results. For example, particle counts correspond to ISO class B—much higher than the requirement for handling gametes, which is ISO class D according to GMP.
Inside the lab
All embryo culture is performed using the latest time-lapse technology with EmbryoScope 8 from Vitrolife.
EmbryoScope 8 is an incubator with a built-in camera that takes an image of your embryos every ten minutes. The images are compiled into a time-lapse video, allowing continuous assessment of embryo development and quality—without removing embryos from the incubator’s protected environment.
As the latest generation of time-lapse incubator, EmbryoScope 8 provides an optimal culture environment. Its advanced system analyses multiple parameters and, together with the evaluation by our senior embryologists, supports selection of the embryos best suited for transfer and freezing.
Freeze and store for the future with vitrification
During IVF, more high-quality embryos than the one transferred in the fresh cycle may develop. These embryos can be frozen and later thawed for transfer. Statistically, about 95% of blastocysts survive thawing after vitrification. To ensure the best possible conditions when freezing and thawing eggs or embryos, we use the latest vitrification techniques.
With vitrification, embryos are placed in a specific medium and intracellular water is replaced by a cryoprotectant that protects during freezing. Frozen embryos are then safely stored in liquid nitrogen until you are ready to use them.

As a Vitrolife reference clinic, we give our patients access to the very latest solutions at competitive prices—so we can offer you the best possible chance of pregnancy.
As a reference clinic, we also contribute to product optimisation.
We conduct research together with Vitrolife and always comply with all relevant regulations and ethical permits. Our research has, among other sources, received funding from Gedeon Richter.
We offer NIPT (non-invasive prenatal testing) to our pregnant patients via our partner Life Genomics.
